Ensuring the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam in Thanh Hoa take place safely

On the morning of June 6, the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2024-2025 High School Entrance Exam and the 2024 High School Graduation Exam held a meeting to assign tasks and agree on contents related to the exam.

According to the plan, the entrance exam for grade 10 of the 2024-2025 school year will take place on June 13 and 14, 2024. The whole province has over 46,000 candidates taking the exam. The Department of Education and Training will establish one or more examination councils at each public high school and ethnic minority high school. Accordingly, the whole province has 89 examination councils.

For the admission to grade 10 of ethnic minority high schools, candidates taking the exam to enter the provincial ethnic minority high school or Ngoc Lac ethnic minority high school will take the exam at the school.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will take place over 2 days from June 27-28. Thanh Hoa province will organize an examination council chaired by the Department of Education and Training, including 78 examination sites with about 38,775 candidates registered to take the exam. The number of candidates only taking the high school graduation exam is 2,477; the number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam and applying for university and college admission is 34,889; the number of candidates only taking the university and college admission exam is 1,378. The number of examination rooms is expected to be about 1,700.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will basically remain the same as last year, with some technical adjustments.

At the conference, members of the Steering Committee for the exam and sectors and localities discussed many issues related to ensuring security and order, traffic safety, ensuring power supply during the exam, and implementing activities to support candidates at exam sites...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2024-2025 High School Entrance Exam and the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, agreed on the contents of the plan and schedule for organizing the exams in the province. At the same time, he requested relevant localities, departments and branches to closely follow the plans, instructions and directions of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Exam and the Ministry of Education and Training to well implement the assigned tasks, ensuring that the exams take place in absolute safety.

The Department of Education and Training will organize inspection teams to review exam conditions from now until June 8.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that units and localities need to strengthen, inspect and review the exam preparation work, closely coordinate with sectors and units to ensure good exam conditions; prepare good plans in case of unexpected situations; ensure good traffic safety, security and order; review the conditions at the exam sites, promptly direct the correction if not guaranteed.

The Examination Councils closely coordinate with the Police to promptly detect the use of high technology to cheat in exams, absolutely not allowing violations of examination regulations, violations of State regulations, and not arbitrarily handling unusual situations that occur in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training.
