The Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) has issued a document directing businesses sending Vietnamese workers to work in the Middle East to strengthen measures to protect the security and safety of workers, especially in areas with conflicts or risks of conflicts.
According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management, recently, the conflict situation in some locations in the Middle East, such as Lebanon, Iran and Israel, continues to have new developments, with complex and unpredictable trends.
This can cause adverse psychological impacts, affecting the work and life of Vietnamese workers working in this area.

In light of the above situation, the Department requires service businesses sending workers to work in the Middle East to regularly contact workers, partners, and permanent representatives of the business to monitor and update the work situation, accommodation and living conditions of workers. Thereby, promptly encouraging and supporting workers when necessary.
In addition, the state management agency for Vietnamese workers working abroad recommends that businesses need to closely cooperate with Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in the region to closely monitor the living and working conditions of workers, thereby promptly taking support measures when necessary.
In particular, businesses must ensure that foreign partners fully comply with labor safety regulations and have a response plan in place if instability increases.
To prevent risks, workers are also advised to strictly follow security instructions and regulations at work and residence.
In case of problems related to employees, enterprises need to promptly report to competent authorities such as the Department of Overseas Labor Management and the Vietnamese diplomatic representative agency to receive support and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of employees.
