At the press conference, after being informed about the socio-economic development results in 2024 and the plan and tasks for 2025, representatives of press agencies raised questions and requested clarification of some contents.
In particular, the press is interested in a number of issues such as: arrangement and streamlining according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW; construction progress of a number of key projects; roadmap for handling suspended planning situations...
Representatives of many press agencies also requested the Provincial People's Committee to inform about the progress of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project.
The issues raised by the press were directly answered by leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities at the press conference. Regarding the arrangement and streamlining according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Thu Huong informed: Dak Nong is following the Central's roadmap.
The province has not been able to determine the number of affected officials and civil servants. However, the Department of Home Affairs is in charge of advising the Provincial People's Committee on a roadmap to reduce 20% of the number of positions receiving salaries from the budget within a 5-year term. The province will create the best conditions for implementing policies for officials and civil servants.
Regarding the issue of handling the situation of suspended planning, Vice Chairman of Gia Nghia City People's Committee Thach Canh Tinh emphasized that recently, the situation of site clearance in the area has been slow, affecting the progress of investment projects.
“We are building a roadmap for each specific project and will start implementing it from 2025,” said Mr. Tinh.
Regarding the progress of key projects, including the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road Project (phase 2), the Department of Transport said that slow disbursement has affected the progress of public investment disbursement in the whole province.
Due to site clearance issues, more than VND200 billion of the project’s capital for 2023 and 2024 has yet to be disbursed. If this situation continues, the project’s capital allocation for 2025 will not be implemented.
Concluding the press conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the issues raised by the press at the press conference are always of interest to the province. The goal that Dak Nong is aiming for in 2025 is to resolutely and drastically complete the targets set by the Party Congress resolution.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that currently, the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) Expressway Project has been approved and is expected to start construction in 2025.
Many large corporations are surveying and investing in the province with an estimated capital of about 8 billion USD. The difficulties and obstacles of the Tran Hong Quan Aluminum Electrolysis Plant project are gradually being resolved.
“These will be favorable conditions for Dak Nong to have the opportunity to make a breakthrough in 2025. Dak Nong hopes that central and local press agencies will continue to pay attention, reflect, and contribute multi-dimensional information about the socio-economic situation in Dak Nong,” emphasized Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi.
On the side of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, we will focus on overcoming the shortcomings and limitations encountered in 2024. The province will focus on implementing provincial planning, sectoral and field planning, thereby clearing previous bottlenecks.
Regarding public investment, Dak Nong will focus on implementing large and key projects. Among these, the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) Expressway Project must be mentioned.
Dak Nong will focus on reviewing public works and assets according to the Central Government's policy to promote land advantages, avoid waste, thereby clarifying the responsibilities of individuals and related units.
