Female MP in Victoria state (Australia) Georgie Purcell posted the original photo and the edited version on her personal X page today, January 30, AFP reported.
"Yesterday I suffered a lot," Ms Purcell wrote on X.
In the edited image that aired on the evening of January 29, her white sleeveless dress was cut into two parts - a tank top and a skirt. In addition, the photo also appeared to be edited to highlight the congresswoman's breasts.

In addition, Ms. Purcell also pointed out that she has a "full-belly tattoo". However, this tattoo does not appear in the photo, which was edited with Photoshop software developed by the American company Adobe.
After issuing an apology, Nine News Melbourne manager Hugh Nailon said the change in image was a "graphical error" and the result of "an automated Photoshop process".
"As is customary, the image was resized to fit our specifications. In the meantime, Photoshop's automated process created an image that was inconsistent with the original," a Nine News Melbourne representative said.
Adobe disagrees with the above explanation. An Adobe spokesperson told Australian media: "Any changes to this image require human intervention and approval."
Ms Purcell also said the incident had affected her personally and could even have a negative impact on other women. "These are things that would never happen to our male colleagues," she added.
