Training plan for students in the future
As Head of the Department of the two largest medical universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Hieu Liem has a training plan to meet the human resource requirements in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery when the demand for beauty is increasing, the requirements for doctors' qualifications, ability to locate, and aesthetic perception are also becoming more and more stringent, along with the question of how cosmetic doctors can recognize the boundaries between medical ethics, aesthetics and finance when performing plastic surgery.
“We have compared training programs and found that at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, the teaching rate of aesthetics is higher than that of plastic surgery, while at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, it is the opposite. However, in my opinion, plastic surgery is still the foundation for doctors to be able to handle all situations. Besides, becoming a cosmetic doctor requires higher requirements because in addition to mastering the foundation, it is also necessary to have the ability to perceive aesthetics and sophistication about beauty to help make life more beautiful. Therefore, we will discuss, exchange and provide a complete, suitable and best applicable curriculum for students. This is also the goal for students to be able to orient their own development before studying at both schools” – Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Hieu Liem shared.
