For Dr. Huy Giang, the responsibility of a cosmetic surgeon is to bring new beauty, suitable for each person's body shape and desires. Dear doctor, we know that you have a lot of experience in the field of cosmetic surgery, so what fate brought you to the beauty profession? I came to the profession by fate, although I am a man, I love beauty and desire to make people beautiful. Perhaps, partly because I was lucky to be exposed to beauty knowledge from an early age. Through my years in the classroom, I had the opportunity to learn from teachers and seniors. The more I learned, the more passionate and determined I became to study to pursue a professional path.

After becoming a doctor and gaining the trust of many customers, seeing the confident smiles and changed lives of my customers, I was very happy and pleased to have chosen the right profession of beautifying life and people. In recent years, cosmetic surgery has been considered one of the hottest professions in Vietnam. What do doctors think about this? Cosmetic surgery itself is considered a "hot" profession, but this specialty is very selective of doctors, not everyone can do it. Trends, technologies, and cosmetic techniques change every year and vary depending on each customer's case. There cannot be a general formula that can be applied to all cases.

Personally, to become a Master - plastic surgeon, I also needed 6 years of studying general medicine at the Military Medical Academy, 18 months of studying specialized plastic surgery, 2 years of studying master's degree in plastic surgery and graduating from Hanoi Medical University, and then more than 10 years of training both domestically and internationally. For me, the "hot" industry is "hot", but to leave a mark on the profession of plastic surgery, doctors must constantly learn, innovate, and improve their knowledge to become a good doctor and improve their position in many other fields.

How have customers' beauty needs changed recently, doctor? In general, when asked about customers' needs, some people choose cosmetic surgery to look like famous stars, some choose to look beautiful according to social media trends, and some want to look beautiful but still have to maintain their own unique features. Currently, the latest trend in surgeries and treatments will focus on early intervention, smaller corrections and more natural results. I predict that this demand will become a trend and may change the future of the cosmetic field.

For every customer who comes, I give advice before deciding to do a makeover: The beauty of harmony and balance is the beauty of perfection. Therefore, there needs to be adjustments to suit each person. We change to be more beautiful, but it must be suitable for us to be truly beautiful and safe. Has there been any case where the doctor refused cosmetic surgery? Yes, there are many (laughs). Many customers follow trends so they tell me to do it like this person, that person, ... Or in the case of customers who "are already beautiful but want to be more beautiful" . I have to analyze and advise customers to understand what to do, not to abuse. If something is not too necessary to trade off, then one should not depend too much on cosmetic surgery. There will be many people who will tell me why I have to do it, people have a need so just do it. But as a plastic surgeon myself, I believe that not only me but any doctor with a heart will do the same. Do you have any concerns that you can share with all readers? Each country has its own strengths in the field of cosmetic surgery. The good news is that the level of Vietnamese cosmetic surgeons is growing rapidly. At the current rate, it may only take 5-7 years for Vietnam's cosmetic industry to make remarkable progress, even surpassing those of Korea, the US, Thailand, etc. However, we also need to look at the reality that in recent years, because of the development of cosmetic surgery, "underground" beauty establishments have sprung up like mushrooms, with untrained staff, even without expertise, still brazenly performing beauty services. This greatly affects the image of the cosmetic industry and also causes many customers to "lose money and suffer". There are people who take advantage of the psychology of many customers who are self-conscious and want to change for profit, regardless of any means to collect money, so I also want to advise customers that we need to be really alert, carefully research all facilities and doctors before placing our trust and health in them.

To talk about your guiding principle, I have a message for you: “Beautiful but unsafe cosmetic surgery is a failure”. Besides choosing to follow the beauty trend or not, safe cosmetic surgery is also an extremely important factor to note. I always believe that safe cosmetic surgery is to minimize complications and not reveal any traces of cosmetic surgery.
