On the morning of July 19, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics organized the announcement of the Mekong Talent 100 scholarships. The full scholarships are jointly implemented between Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and international partner universities from Australia, Taiwan, etc.
Specifically, this year, the first 25 postgraduate scholarships will be awarded by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Western Sydney University (Australia) and FJCU University (Taiwan) to potential individuals with career development orientation in the Mekong Delta.
Students will study at Vinh Long Branch, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and transfer to international schools. After that, students will return to work, start a business and contribute to the development of the Mekong region.
This year, FJCU University (Taiwan) offers full tuition scholarships for candidates studying for master's degrees in physics, chemistry, textiles, and food science.
In addition, each candidate will receive a living allowance of NTD 10,000/month (about VND 7.7 million) and free Chinese language courses. During their studies, students will work and intern at Taiwanese businesses.
Western Sydney University (Australia) awarded the first three full scholarships this year to potential candidates from the Mekong region. Each scholarship is worth 15,000 USD (380 million VND) to study for a master's degree in business administration.

Professor Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, said the scholarship is part of the university's internationalization strategy. In the future, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics will implement the ASEAN Hub model, attracting talented young people from the region to study, including those from the Mekong River basin countries.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Ha Minh Quan, Director of ISB (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics), said that in addition to the full scholarships for postgraduate studies launched for the first time this year, the Mekong Talent 100 scholarship has also granted many undergraduate scholarships in recent years.
The goal is to cooperate with famous international university partners to train students equipped with specific knowledge related to the economic, social and cultural realities of the Mekong region, creating a foundation for career development in the locality.
