Taking place from December 21 to December 24, 2023 at Phu Tho Sports Stadium, District 11 - The 2023 Supply-Demand Connection Conference between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities attracted the participation of many businesses from 45 localities across the country.

This is also an opportunity to measure market response to typical products of regions across the country. Preliminary assessments of distribution companies show that compared to previous years, local manufacturers and suppliers have made great progress. According to Mr. Le Huu Tinh, many products this year are more carefully selected and of better quality thanks to the long-term preparation of the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities. There are many unique products from provinces and cities, such as dong vermicelli, golden flower tea from Bac Kan province, Thanh Hoa sour sausage, Dak Lak dried buffalo meat, Dong Thap tangerines, ancient Shan Tuyet tea from Ha Giang, Quang Nam agarwood, etc.

According to the assessment of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang, the 12th conference connecting supply and demand of goods between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities and a series of events have great significance, not only for the economic development of the city but also as a strong driving force for provinces and cities across the country.

Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang commented that after 11 years of implementation, the scale and effectiveness of the conference have been increasingly expanded, with abundant and diverse goods, and the number of participating localities and enterprises has increased. From being a simple goods connection conference, the conference has now been built on a large scale, rich and diverse with the participation of about 45 provinces and cities.

“The conference has created the most favorable conditions for buyers and sellers to connect directly, reduce intermediary costs, promote the circulation of goods, contribute to the formation of sustainable supply chains; continue to promote online supply and demand connections; contribute to providing high-quality goods at reasonable prices nationwide to supplement the market's stable supply, serving the city's market during the 2024 Lunar New Year" - Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang commented.
