Special art program celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement

This is the first time the program is held in Quang Tri, within the framework of the 2024 Peace Festival.

Opening the program, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung reviewed the nation's glorious past. Mr. Hung said that to achieve glorious feats and great victories, our nation had to endure much pain and loss, but with strong will and love for the country, we won.

With sincere respect and infinite gratitude to pay tribute to the heroic sons of the Fatherland, the program "Immortal Heroic Song" hopes to convey the message that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed during his lifetime: "Our Party, State and People will never forget the great contributions of revolutionary predecessors, heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions."

This program is built with deep artistic and humanistic values, aiming at connecting the past, present and future..., further clarifying so that viewers can better understand the sacred value of peace, national solidarity and international solidarity.

At the program, in his speech, Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung respectfully bowed to commemorate beloved President Ho Chi Minh, revolutionary predecessors, and heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed themselves for the country and the people. Mr. Trung also expressed his infinite sorrow for the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a symbol of the country's leadership generation during the renovation period.

According to Mr. Trung, over the years, the Party and State have always paid attention to directing and leading the work of gratitude, mobilizing the entire population to actively participate in movements such as: Gratitude, the entire population taking care of families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution...

Therefore, Mr. Trung hopes that all levels, sectors, individuals and organizations will continue to contribute more, carry out more practical projects and tasks towards gratitude, towards the work of repaying gratitude... to be worthy of the great feats and sacrifices of our ancestors.

The special art program “Immortal Epic” is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with localities, to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions who sacrificed and contributed to the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

Following the success of previous years, the program "Immortal Epic" in 2024 is one of the special and meaningful activities within the framework of the "Peace Wish" Program of the 2024 Peace Festival, organized for the first time in Quang Tri province.

The program featured performances by artists: People's Artist Quang Tho, artist Thanh Thanh Hien, singers Tung Duong, Anh Tho, Trong Tan, Dang Duong, Duong Hoang Yen, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Viet Danh, Oplus Group..., veterans, children with immortal revolutionary songs resounding in the night of the Citadel, reviving the difficult and heroic years of the nation.
