Da Nang promotes tourism in Taiwan (China) market

DNO - On June 22, the City Tourism Promotion Center announced that the City Department of Tourism has just coordinated with the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province to organize a program to introduce tourism of the three localities of Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam in Taipei, Taiwan (China) with the theme "Amazing Central Vietnam Heritage".

The program was attended by more than 120 guests representing airlines, travel agencies and press agencies in Taipei, Taiwan (China), providing an opportunity for businesses to meet, connect and exchange information.

At the program, the three localities of Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam introduced to guests the typical tourism products of the three localities, focusing on promoting in-depth products suitable for the tastes of Taiwanese (Chinese) guests such as beach resort tourism, cultural tourism, cuisine , shopping, spa, MICE tourism, golf, wedding tourism and event programs of the three localities.

Representatives of businesses from the three localities of Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue - Quang Nam had the opportunity to meet with partners in Taiwan (China).

According to Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Head of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, in the first 5 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 530,000 visitors from Taiwan (China), an increase of 110.1% over the same period last year, of which about 45% of visitors came to tourist destinations in the Central region such as Hue, Hoi An (Quang Nam), Da Nang...

Within the framework of the program, businesses from the three localities had the opportunity to approach, exchange, introduce information and offer tourism products and services to partners in the B2B space (business to business), promoting bilateral customer exchange between the parties.

It is known that Da Nang tourism has grown strongly in the first 5 months of 2024, accordingly, the number of visitors served by accommodation establishments in Da Nang reached nearly 3.78 million, an increase of more than 22% over the same period in 2023. Particularly for the Taiwanese market (China), the number of visitors to Da Nang accounted for 10.8% of the international visitor market structure and ranked 2nd in the top 10 international visitor markets to Da Nang in the first 5 months of 2024.
