On the afternoon of September 3, news from the Da Nang City Department of Tourism said that the total number of tourists to the city during the National Day holiday of September 2 (from August 31 to September 3) reached nearly 308,000 (an increase of 21.2% over the same period in 2023).
Of which, domestic visitors reached about 217,000 (up 23.8% over the same period in 2023), international visitors reached about 91,000 (up 15.3% over the same period in 2023). Total tourism revenue reached more than 1.2 trillion VND (up 33.8% over the same period in 2023).
The total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang during the 4-day holiday is estimated at 479, a slight increase compared to the same period in 2023 (an average of 120 flights/day). Of which, there are 202 international flights, an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2023 (an average of 50 flights/day), and 277 domestic flights (an average of 70 flights/day).
This year, the number of passengers traveling by rail and road by their own means from neighboring localities such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, etc. to Da Nang has increased significantly. Notably, the number of passengers arriving in Da Nang by rail on the occasion of National Day, September 2, reached about 10,678, a sharp increase of 42.43% over the same period last year.
The total number of visitors to tourist accommodation establishments during the 4-day holiday reached about 89,290 (an increase of 18.2% over the same period in 2023).
According to the reporter's records, during the peak days of the National Day holiday on September 2 (from August 31 to September 3), Da Nang did not experience traffic congestion at the northern and southern gateways. However, on the night of September 2, on the coastal route of Vo Nguyen Giap and Nguyen Van Thoai (Ngu Hanh Son district), there was a local traffic congestion due to many tourists from neighboring localities using private cars to come to Da Nang.
