Learning Ho Chi Minh's ideology for sustainable development
Head of the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee Doan Ngoc Hung Anh affirmed, “The implementation of this topic aims to raise awareness of cadres, party members and people about the great values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in implementing social progress and justice. This clearly demonstrates the responsibility of the Party Committee and government in constantly nurturing people's strength and improving the quality of life of the city's people.”
The content of the topic emphasizes that progress and social justice are important goals in the cause of national construction and development. Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on social justice have profound humanistic values, are the inheritance and development of progressive thoughts under the light of Marxism-Leninism, combined with cultural traditions and national ethics. This is the guiding principle for the revolutionary activities of the entire Party and people in the cause of building a new society - fair, democratic and civilized.
In order to put the 2025 theme into practice, the Da Nang Party Committee requires Party committees at all levels to strengthen inspection and supervision of the organization of study, and at the same time discover and commend typical examples among cadres, party members and the people. In particular, party cells and party committees must pioneer in innovation, improve the quality of activities, and link the theme content with the political tasks of each agency and unit.
Party committees at all levels also proactively selected existing issues and limitations related to the 2025 theme to focus on solving. This is associated with the effective implementation of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the Politburo (12th tenure) on building and developing Da Nang city to 2030, with a vision to 2045, as well as other key development programs of the city.
Building a team of pioneering and responsible staff
Along with the implementation of thematic study, the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee also requires cadres and party members to strictly implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, in conjunction with Regulation No. 144-QD/TW on revolutionary ethical standards. At the same time, implement Directive No. 34-CT/TU of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on administrative reform, improving discipline and order, and resolutely overcoming the situation of avoiding and shirking responsibility.
After studying the 2025 theme, each cadre and party member needs to connect with reality and supplement the content of the commitment to implement in accordance with the direction of the Central and the city. This not only helps to raise the sense of personal responsibility but also contributes to building a strong team of cadres, civil servants and public employees, meeting the development requirements in the new period.
Persistent on the goal of “leaving no one behind”
Da Nang City aims to have no more poor households with working capacity according to multidimensional standards, ensuring 100% of the population has access to basic social services. The city's social security policy not only ensures equality of opportunity but also improves the quality of life for all classes of people.
Since 2015, Da Nang has eliminated all poor households according to the Central standard, reaching the target 2 years ahead of schedule. The city has continuously raised the poverty line higher than the national average and implemented many special policies such as: supporting the construction of new houses for poor households at the rate of 80 million VND/house (previously 50 million VND); supporting house repairs up to 30 million VND/house (previously 20 million VND); exempting tuition fees for students of public and non-public schools (except schools with foreign investment) for 4 consecutive years; allocating more than 408 billion VND to support tuition fees for the 2023-2024 school year.
In addition, the city has also promoted the implementation of multidimensional poverty reduction programs, socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, and narrowing the gap between rich and poor. These policies continue to affirm the determination of the Party, government and people of Da Nang in building a civilized, livable city, leaving no one behind.
With strategic orientations and specific solutions, Da Nang is gradually realizing the goal of sustainable development, improving people's lives, and contributing to the overall development of the country.
