Speaking at a conference in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius recently, Mr. Andrzejczak, who led the Polish army from 2018-2023, warned that Russia's victory in Ukraine could have serious security implications for NATO, especially for countries that share borders with Russia, according to RT today, October 12.

"After a Russian victory in Ukraine, there will be a Russian division in Lviv (a city in Ukraine), a division in Brest (Belarus) and a division in Grodno (Belarus)," Andrzejczak speculated, according to Bild newspaper. He also said that in this scenario, Poland and Lithuania would be effectively surrounded by Russian forces.
Mr. Andrzejczak believes that Russia must be prevented from launching a potential attack. "If they attack even an inch of Lithuanian territory, the response will be immediate. Not on the first day, but in the first minute. We will attack all strategic targets within a radius of 300 kilometers. We will attack St. Petersburg directly," Mr. Andrzejczak said.
Mr. Andrzejczak also said that Poland must be "proactive" in deterring Russia. He stressed: "Russia must realize that an attack on Poland or the Baltic States would mean the end of Russia... That is the only way to deter the Kremlin from such aggression. To achieve that goal, Poland is buying 800 missiles with a range of 900 km."
Russia has not commented on the claim. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly denied that Moscow has any plans to attack NATO , calling such speculation “nonsense” aimed at intimidating and brainwashing the Western public, according to RT.
