(NLDO) - A fire in a residential area in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City broke out fiercely but fortunately did not cause any human casualties.
On January 28 (29th of Tet), District 1 Police, Ho Chi Minh City are investigating the cause of a house fire in a residential area.
According to initial information, at more than 13 o'clock the same day, smoke and fire broke out from a level 4 house in alley 42 Tran Dinh Xu, Co Giang ward, District 1. People saw the fire and tried to put it out, but initial efforts were unsuccessful.
The fire then flared up, the smoke column rising tens of meters high.
District 1 Fire Police were dispatched to the scene. Because the location of the fire was only a few hundred meters from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the elite police force PC07 was also dispatched.
Police quickly used a water cannon to put out the fire, saving one person.
The fire caused no human casualties but a lot of property was damaged.
