Having an incomplete childhood with her father, for runner-up Ngoc Lan, the contest "Father and Daughter" is an opportunity for her to express her feelings, things she has never told her father.

With the message: "Don't let the words of love for parents be too late", on March 14, Vietnam Family Magazine cooperated with Hanoi University to continue launching the writing contest with the theme "Father and daughter" for the third time to extend the love in the family.

As a regular participant in volunteer activities and humanitarian programs serving the community, Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage 2024 - Ngoc Lan has supported the writing contest "Father and Daughter" from the very beginning.

The runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024 said: “The “Father and Daughter” contest organized by Vietnam Family Magazine has a very special meaning in honoring the father-daughter relationship, especially between fathers and daughters. The contest not only helps girls express their feelings and gratitude towards their fathers, but is also an opportunity for everyone to re-evaluate the value of family and the importance of connecting generations. Through the contest, we can see the love, the silent sacrifice of fathers and the special moments they spend with their daughters.”

Runner-up Ngoc Lan confided that she was not as lucky as many other girls to be loved and pampered by their fathers when they were young. Runner-up Ngoc Lan’s childhood was full of “scratches” with incomplete memories with her father. Therefore, the “Father and Daughter” contest gave her mixed emotions.

Runner-up Ngoc Lan regularly participates in charity activities and humanitarian programs.

“The feeling of missing my father’s presence in important moments of my life makes me regretful. Therefore, the “Father and Daughter” contest is an opportunity for me to reflect on the incomplete things, and sometimes, those shortcomings make the feelings deeper and more meaningful, an opportunity for me to look back and love myself, as well as the people around me.”

Runner-up Ngoc Lan considers the writing contest an opportunity to heal her emotional wounds.

Coming to the writing contest with the theme “Father and Daughter”, Runner-up Ngoc Lan not only conveyed the humanistic meaning of the contest to the public but also wanted to be one of the authors submitting entries as a way to “heal” her emotional wounds.

“The contest will be an opportunity for me to open my heart and express the things I have not said to my father. Whether it is regret or longing for a closer relationship, the contest can be a way for me to express my feelings, and at the same time, an opportunity to heal the wounds in my heart” - Runner-up Ngoc Lan confided.

“Father and daughter” is a sacred and valuable love that never gets old. The stories from the depths of the heart of father and daughter will always touch the emotions of each of us in a life filled with the chaos, worries and turmoil of today.

The 3rd writing contest on the topic "Father and Daughter" in 2025 was officially launched and accepted from March 14, 2025 to June 12, 2025. With many innovations in both content and form, the contest is expected to continue to strongly spread core values, fostering family love.

Runner-up Ngoc Lan holds the book "Father and Daughter".
