To ensure safe, stable and continuous electricity supply so that people can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet, Phu Tho Electricity Company has planned, developed a solution and directed its affiliated units to seriously implement it.

Providing safe and continuous electricity during the Lunar New Year T2 Transformer Project of Viet Tri 110kV Transformer Station is put into operation to ensure power supply for the Lunar New Year 2025.

Comrade Pham Van Chuc - Deputy Director of Phu Tho Power Company said: To ensure safe and stable power supply during the Lunar New Year, the Company has assigned specific tasks to units. Important tasks include: Checking and strengthening medium-voltage and low-voltage lines and transformer stations are actively deployed. This helps detect and promptly handle potential risks, avoiding unexpected incidents. In addition, the Company coordinates with functional agencies to ensure security and prevent and fight fires and explosions; fully prepares spare materials, fuel and necessary means to handle incidents quickly, not letting people lose power during the Tet holiday".

The load capacity of the whole province during Tet holiday is forecasted to increase, with Pmax = 564.5MW and Pmin = 185.5MW, of which the expected daily output is 8,349.641 kWh. To ensure meeting the demand, the power sources and 110kV grid structure have been prepared by the unit. During the Lunar New Year, the unit will not perform any work that involves power outages on the grid during the Lunar New Year holidays of At Ty year 2025 (from 0:00 on January 25, 2025 (ie the 26th day of Tet) to 24:00 on February 2, 2025 (ie the 5th day of Tet), except in cases of force majeure or special cases under the direction of the Dispatcher of the Northern Power System Dispatch Center, the Northern Power Corporation and the leaders of Phu Tho Power Company.

As the political, economic and cultural center of the province, during the Lunar New Year, in addition to the high demand for electricity of the people, Viet Tri city is also the place where many cultural and artistic activities take place, so Viet Tri Electricity has proactively developed plans and solutions based on the Company's plan. Mr. Vu Trung Hieu - Director of Viet Tri Electricity said: "To meet the electricity demand during Tet, Viet Tri Electricity mobilizes maximum resources to increase the reliability of power supply. We especially prioritize locations of major events, densely populated areas and essential service facilities. In addition, the unit has also prepared a quick response plan in case of any incidents, ensuring that everyone can have a safe and complete Tet holiday."

One of the most important factors in ensuring power supply during the holidays and Tet is labor safety and fire and explosion prevention. Phu Tho Power Company requires its affiliated units to strengthen inspections of power lines and transformer stations and ensure security during the holiday. The company also focuses on educating people about safe and economical use of electricity; preventing violations such as shooting metal-coated firecrackers, burning sky lanterns or throwing foreign objects into electrical works. These actions can endanger the power grid and affect the stability of the power supply.

Although maintenance and inspection work is strictly carried out, the possibility of incidents cannot be completely eliminated; when incidents occur, the units will cut off power and handle them according to established procedures. Power lines and transformer stations that do not supply electricity will be cut off from the system, and backup power sources will be used to ensure that priority areas always have electricity. During the holiday, the Power Companies will synthesize and report on the grid operation situation, incident situation and handling measures to Phu Tho Power Company. The Control Department will receive and synthesize the operation situation of the units, report to the Northern Power Corporation, ensuring smooth coordination in operation and incident handling.
