At this time, the car carrying a 54-year-old man who was in critical condition, vomiting blood, and in a coma, pulled over to the traffic police checkpoint. The driver said the car was traveling from Long Khanh City (Dong Nai) to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way, the man suddenly fell ill, but no one knew where the hospital was, so he asked two soldiers for help.
The traffic police immediately asked for the commander's opinion to use a special car to lead the way. The police turned on the emergency lights and sirens to lead the vehicle carrying the victim more than 10 km to Le Van Thinh Hospital, Binh Trung Tay Ward, in 7 minutes.
This morning, Dr. Tran Van Khanh, Director of Le Van Thinh Hospital, said the patient was brought to the emergency room in a state of gastrointestinal bleeding and severe blood loss. After emergency treatment, the patient was transferred to the Department of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and is now gradually recovering.
