Working through AXONS, an agri-tech company of CP Foods, AWS has been selected as the group’s cloud provider. AXONS will migrate CP Foods’ SAP environment in Thailand to AWS’s cloud infrastructure and deploy the modern SAP S/4HANA platform to enhance operational capabilities.

By bringing critical SAP workflows to AWS, CP Foods is moving toward becoming a data-driven business with the agility to enhance customer experience, unlock supply chain efficiencies, and innovate new business models.

AWS now offers a comprehensive range of cloud storage solutions

Through the partnership, AXONS has built new services for CP Foods, such as a digital food ordering and analytics app, that enable data-driven decision making and provide faster access to credit for small retailers.

To further accelerate its transformation, AXONS plans to close CP Foods’ on-premises data centers in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam and move other critical applications, including farm management solutions, to the AWS cloud. AWS will help CP Foods scale workloads 10x to meet 7.5% annual customer growth in Thailand’s retail sector, while reducing operational resources by more than 20%.

To equip employees with cloud skills, CP Foods’ AXONS is partnering with AWS on a broad skills enablement program that will drive rapid and continuous learning at CP Foods, accelerating digital transformation across the company. This year, CP Foods plans to train 20,000 employees in basic digital skills, and 100 technical and non-technical employees have completed the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials course. AXONS will enroll employees from its developer and infrastructure teams in courses on AWS cloud architecture, storage, and security.

“Cloud technology is transforming the food industry, improving supply chains and driving growth across various business segments,” said Vatsun Thirapatarapong, Country Head of AWS Thailand. “By migrating SAP to the AWS cloud, AXONS has established a solid foundation for CP Foods to improve efficiency across its operations, gain new insights and make data-driven decisions. In addition, CP Foods is using AWS to support its global expansion and develop enhanced customer services at scale, while creating more financial opportunities for smaller stores.”
