Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,610,724 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of cases per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,335 cases per 1 million people).

On May 29, 131 cases were announced to be cured, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,637,654. 35 severe patients are being monitored and treated; of which, 25 cases are breathing oxygen through masks; 6 cases are breathing high-flow oxygen HFNC; 3 cases are on non-invasive ventilators; 1 case is on invasive ventilators.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206 people, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of cases.

On May 28, 78 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, a total of 266,406,399 doses of vaccine have been injected to date. Of these, 223,739,018 doses were injected for people aged 18 and over: 70,909,168 doses for the first dose; 68,455,652 doses for the second dose; 14,344,115 doses for the supplementary dose; 52,132,872 doses for the first booster dose; and 17,897,211 doses for the second booster dose.

Vaccinations for children aged 12-17 years old are 23,965,543 doses: 1st dose is 9,130,889 doses; 2nd dose is 9,021,366 doses; 1st booster dose is 5,813,288 doses.

Vaccination for children from 5-11 years old is 18,701,838 doses: 10,227,642 doses for the first dose; 8,474,196 doses for the second dose.
