Mr. Vu Van Diep, Director of the Technical Infrastructure Management Center, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, said that the renovation of the frangipani trees at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park on Nguyen Hue Street (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1) was carried out by the unit under the direction of the City Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

The row of frangipani trees is replaced by four-season apricot trees, interspersed with flower pots and flower beds. The flowers will be changed regularly to always keep the vitality and fresh colors for the area.
The renovation contractor will complete the project by mid-February 2024, at the same time as Nguyen Hue Flower Street. The frangipani trees will be uprooted and planted in other areas in parks or national cultural and historical parks (Thu Duc City).
Mr. Vu Van Diep said that after the renovation, the center received many positive responses. "People praised it a lot, saying that the renovation helped make the park more beautiful and airy than before," Mr. Diep added.
Foreign tourists happily took out their phones to take pictures of blooming lotus flowers. Lotus flower pots were arranged on both sides and behind the statue of President Ho Chi Minh.
The most obvious feeling of openness is for tourists visiting the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (86 Le Thanh Ton, District 1) when standing on the balcony of the first floor looking down. Currently, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has a plan to open its doors to welcome residents and tourists to visit on Saturday and Sunday every end of the month.
Another highlight on Nguyen Hue Street is the Cay Lieu roundabout (intersection with Le Loi Street) which has been restored and allows for comfortable traffic. This roundabout was demolished in 2014, and a fountain was added in 2019.
Nguyen Hue Street is where the flower street is held every Lunar New Year for people to come and enjoy. This year, the organizers decided to display the pair of dragon mascots until the end of January.
The Ho Chi Minh President Monument Park area is visited by many people and tourists to take pictures. This place is also often chosen as a place to offer incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh on major holidays and important events of Ho Chi Minh City and districts.
