Accordingly, to minimize the situation of high electricity bills, right before the Lunar New Year 2025, Tuyen Quang Power Company has directed its affiliated Power Companies to focus on implementing many synchronous solutions in the work of recording indexes and issuing electricity bills; updating, monitoring and answering all customer inquiries about electricity bills, and at the same time informing customers to identify the causes and current situation in order to have reasonable and scientific adjustments to limit the situation of high electricity bills in the following month.

Mr. Nguyen Gia Khanh, Tan Quang Ward (Tuyen Quang City) said that during the recent Tet At Ty, his family and his children living far away gathered to celebrate Tet with their family, and at the same time used more electrical appliances in the family, leading to the electricity bill during this Tet holiday possibly being higher than in previous months. However, with the guidance of the Electricity staff in looking up the index, electricity bill on the customer care app, how to choose and use electrical appliances, his family has been able to control their monthly electricity consumption.

As for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hau, Lang Quan residential group, Yen Son town (Yen Son), during the Lunar New Year, her family used household electrical appliances and decorative electrical appliances more frequently, leading to higher electricity bills during this Tet holiday compared to previous months. However, with the support and guidance of Electricity officials in propagating warnings that electricity bills may increase compared to previous months, her family was able to control their monthly electricity consumption.

To avoid questions about electricity bills before, during and after Tet, Tuyen Quang Electricity Company has directed the Electricity Companies to review and check meter readings for customers whose electricity output has increased dramatically compared to the previous month, and is ready to support customers in determining the cause.

Customers are advised to regularly check the wires behind the household meter to promptly replace or repair them when the wires behind the meter are broken, the insulation is damaged, causing short circuits that can easily lead to unsafety and also increase electricity bills; check and maintain electrical equipment before putting it into use. At the same time, Electricity also gives recommendations on the causes of high electricity bills during the Lunar New Year and cold weather with low temperatures so that people know how to save electricity reasonably for their families.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hao, Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Electricity Company, said that due to the complicated weather in the coming days, which is forecasted to continue to be drizzle, humid and cold, the demand for electricity may increase, leading to an increase in electricity costs, which may cause local grid overload or power outages, especially during peak hours. Tuyen Quang Electricity Company recommends that customers continue to pay attention to applying safe and economical electricity usage solutions, especially the use of high-capacity electrical appliances such as: water heaters, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, clothes dryers, etc. during peak hours.
