On October 10, in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand, the inauguration ceremony of the Thailand-Vietnam Cultural Street Gate took place solemnly.
The program was attended by Acting Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province Ranida Luengthitisakul, Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (SOCV) Nguyen Manh Dong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand Nguyen Ngoc Thin, representatives of relevant agencies and organizations of Vietnam and local authorities, and a large number of overseas Vietnamese.
Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Governor of Nakhon Phanom Ranida Luengthitisakul said that the construction of the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Street Gate is a new highlight, representing the characteristics, historical stories and good relations between Thailand and Vietnam. Ms. Ranida Luengthitisakul hopes that the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Street Gate will attract tourists, boost the economy and elevate Nakhon Phanom province as well as promote the province to become a tourism center.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Manh Dong conveyed warm congratulations from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Le Thi Thu Hang to Acting Governor Ranida Laungthitisakul, provincial leaders and overseas Vietnamese.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong said that the inauguration of the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Street Gate in Nakhon Phanom province will leave many sacred and beautiful feelings in every Vietnamese person, thereby continuing to contribute to strengthening the good friendship between the two States and peoples of Vietnam and Thailand.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung affirmed that the project is a testament to the good relationship between the people of the two countries, expressing the sentiments of overseas Vietnamese towards their homeland, contributing to enriching the local culture, contributing to the socio-economic development of Thailand and the friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries.
Located on Nittayo Street - a major road in Nakhon Phanom province, the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Street Gate was built by the Vietnamese community in Nakhon Phanom province from 2023 with the active support of the local government. |
