Creating a source of Party development from a team of prestigious people
Currently, Quang Ninh province has 381 Prestigious People, 210 of whom are Party members. It is worth noting that the number of young Prestigious People is increasing. These are all people who have a “weighty” voice in their clans, and have influence in villages, communes, etc. They are the core force at the grassroots level.
Mr. Trieu Van Sang - a prestigious person in Thin Thu village, Quang An commune, Dam Ha district frankly stated: "Party development work in ethnic minority areas should pay more attention to prestigious people. They are people with good propaganda skills and prestige with the people. I think, when people trust prestigious people, they trust the core of the Party".
Through research, it is known that in recent years, many localities have paid attention to the work of developing the Party in ethnic minority areas. Therefore, more and more people in the prestigious group have been honored to join the Party, or have been recruited and trained to join the Party.
At Cam Pha City Party Committee, there are currently 285 party members from ethnic minority areas, accounting for 2.67% of the total party members of Cam Pha City Party Committee, of which 80 party members are ethnic minorities. Since the beginning of the term, this locality has admitted 28 new party members who are ethnic minorities in the area.
According to Bui Hong Quan, Head of the Organizing Committee of Cam Pha City Party Committee, the Party Committee has always focused on developing Party members in ethnic minority areas, focusing on quality and not quantity. Typical factors are sent for training, fostering, and admission to the Party, all of which are carried out through patriotic emulation movements at the grassroots level. Therefore, when admitted, many Party members have strived to become Prestigious People, Party Cell Secretaries, Village and Ward Heads, and have made outstanding contributions at the grassroots level...
Training and creating resources from ethnic minority workers
In recent years, the number of young ethnic minority workers working in enterprises, especially coal enterprises in Quang Ninh province, has increased, helping to maintain and stabilize the production and business activities of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV).
According to the report, the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee currently has 30 grassroots Party organizations, including 27 Party Committees and 3 grassroots Party cells, with more than 10,300 Party members. In recent times, the Party Committees of coal mining and processing companies under TKV in Ha Long and Cam Pha regions have strengthened propaganda and ideological education for miners, reviewed the elite masses among the ethnic minority miners to have a direction for training and creating a source for Party development.
With many synchronous solutions, in 2023, Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee admitted 390 party members, reaching a rate of 3.76% compared to the total number of party members at the beginning of the year. Of which, 16 new party members are ethnic minorities.
Typically, Mong Duong Coal Company has 3,400 workers, of which 710 are ethnic minority workers, accounting for 21%. Mr. Tran Duy Hung, Secretary of the Party Cell of the KCS Department of Mong Duong Coal Company said: "For the masses who are ethnic minorities, the Party Cell always cares about their material and spiritual life, at the same time orienting and training them to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam".
Fostering and developing excellent ethnic minority students
Recently, the Party Cell of Tien Yen Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities, under the Tien Yen District Party Committee, admitted 3 outstanding members to the Party. These are the first 3 outstanding ethnic minority students to be admitted to the Party while still in school.
Lo Moc Mui, a San Chi ethnic, a 12B grade student at Tien Yen Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities, is one of the three students who shared: “I am very happy and proud to be admitted to the Party while still in high school. I promise myself that I will try my best to live, study, and strive to be worthy of being a young Party member.”
Talking with teacher Hoang Trong Hung, Party Cell Secretary, Principal of Tien Yen Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities, it was learned that the school currently has two 12th grade classes, with about 70 students. Starting from 2022, the school has organized for students with good achievements to attend Party sympathy classes. On May 31, 12th grade students graduated and left the school, so it was necessary to arrange for them to attend Party sympathy classes early, choosing the appropriate age.
“The school has determined that from the Party Cell Secretary to the School Youth Union Secretary, Party members, and homeroom teachers must always stay close, be close, and regularly guide and help students... Thereby discovering and nurturing excellent ethnic minority students, gradually removing difficulties in creating resources for the school's party member development work and implementing the policy of developing ethnic minority party members of Party committees at all levels.
This is also the method being applied by many ethnic boarding schools and high schools in Quang Ninh province, thereby increasing the source of Party members for the Party, ensuring a stable transition between generations of Party members.
Regarding the work of developing party members in ethnic minority areas and party members who are ethnic minorities, Dr. Tran Xuan Anh, former Director of Nguyen Van Cu Cadre Training School, Quang Ninh province, said that the work of Party building in Quang Ninh province in recent years has made great strides, "breakthroughs" in terms of ideology, politics, organization, inspection and supervision.
In particular, the development of Party members in educational institutions, who are ethnic minorities in the area, is truly an important qualitative change for Quang Ninh in building a "reserve force of the Party", ensuring both red and professional.
“This is the next generation with knowledge, good qualities, ethics, and the ability to do grassroots mass mobilization work, which will meet the increasing demands in the task of building and developing the Mining Region in the coming period,” Dr. Tran Xuan Anh affirmed.
