This afternoon, December 28, the Provincial Statistics Office held a press conference to announce socio-economic statistics of Quang Tri province in 2023.
In 2023, in the context of the economy being affected by many unfavorable external factors and prolonged internal limitations, but with the great efforts and determination of the Party Committee, government and people in the whole province, the socio-economic situation in 2023 of Quang Tri province has achieved important results. The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2023 is estimated to increase by 6.68% (in 2022 it increased by 7.22%).
Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 5.41%; the industry - construction sector increased by 7.95%; the service sector increased by 6.41%.
The economic structure is shifting in the right direction, increasing the proportion of industry, construction and services; reducing the proportion of agriculture but still too slowly. The economic scale in 2023 is estimated to reach 46,431 billion VND; GRDP per capita is estimated to reach 71 million VND, an increase of 9.06% compared to 2022.
From the beginning of the year to December 15, 2023, the whole province had 467 newly registered enterprises, down 1.48% over the same period in 2022; total registered capital was 6,068 billion VND, up 41.42%. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in 2023 is estimated at 30,534 billion VND.
Capital mobilization in the area by November 30, 2023 reached VND 35,213 billion, estimated by December 31, 2023, capital mobilization in the area reached VND 36,000 billion, an increase of 14.56% compared to the end of 2022. Total outstanding loans to the economy by November 30, 2023 reached VND 50,697 billion.
Total state budget revenue in the area from the beginning of the year to December 15, 2023 reached VND 3,399 billion, equal to 83.94% of the local estimate and down 24% over the same period in 2022; of which domestic revenue was VND 2,409 billion; revenue from import and export activities was VND 980 billion. Estimated investment capital implemented in the area in 2023 (current price) is VND 24,234 billion, down 10.62% over the previous year.
In terms of social sector, the average population in 2023 is estimated to be 654,198 people. The labor force aged 15 and over in the province in 2023 is estimated to be 335,193 people.
It is estimated that the rate of trained workers in 2023 will reach 72.66%, the rate of trained workers will reach over 50%, and the rate of trained workers with certificates will reach 33%.
As of December 15, 2023, the province has 13,989 new jobs for workers; of which 5,666 are working in the province, 5,500 are working outside the province and 2,823 are working abroad (2,800 workers are exported).
People's lives have been improved, social security is guaranteed. The multidimensional poverty rate of the whole province is 7.71%, down 1.43% compared to the end of 2022. The new rural construction program in recent years has had a positive impact, contributing to improving the lives of people in rural areas.
Social security work is given due attention, so people's lives are stable, there is no hunger. Education, training and healthcare have many positive changes. Cultural and sports activities have made much progress.
