Yen Bai - On the morning of April 1, at the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee Hall, a conference was held to announce the decision of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee to merge Yen Bai Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station into Yen Bai Newspaper.

Attending the conference were comrades Tran Huy Tuan - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ta Van Long - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission; comrades Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Provincial Journalists Association; leaders and officials of Yen Bai Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station.

At the Conference, Comrade Chu Dinh Ngu - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board announced Decision No. 1379-QD/TU on the establishment of Yen Bai Newspaper on the basis of merging Yen Bai Newspaper, Yen Bai Provincial Radio and Television Station from April 1, 2025.

Accordingly, Yen Bai Newspaper has 9 specialized departments: News Department; Special Topics - Arts Department; Editorial Secretary - Digital Content Department; Radio - Television Department; Print - Electronic Newspaper Department; Ethnic Department; Technical - Technology Department; Administration - Management Department; Service - Advertising Department.

Yen Bai Newspaper is a public service unit that ensures its own regular expenses (group 2 unit) according to regulations on financial autonomy of public service units, and is a budget unit directly under the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Delegates attending the Conference

Yen Bai Newspaper receives and uses the headquarters of Yen Bai Newspaper (old) and the headquarters of the Provincial Radio and Television Station before the merger. Receive and use the new headquarters at an appropriate time after the Provincial People's Committee completes the new construction investment project. Receive and hand over documents, personnel, finance, assets, facilities, equipment according to regulations; hand over the seal according to regulations. Issue the Working Regulations and related regulations of the agency to ensure it comes into operation from April 1, 2025.

Along with that, the decisions on the assignment and appointment of the positions of Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper after the merger were announced. Accordingly, comrade Ha Ngoc Van - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper was appointed to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper (new) from April 1, 2025. The comrades: Tran Quynh Lien - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper; Bui Minh Duc - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper; Nguyen Tien Tuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Nguyen Quoc Chien - Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station were appointed to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Yen Bai Newspaper.

In his congratulatory speech and assignment of tasks at the Conference, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Huy Tuan affirmed: Today's merger is not simply a change of name or administrative organization, but is the result of a serious, methodical and proactive preparation process of Yen Bai province, closely following the direction of the Central Committee in Conclusion 126 of the Politburo , in line with the trend of modern press development, taking operational efficiency and quality of service to the people as the highest measure; is an important turning point in the process of streamlining the organization of the province's press apparatus, meeting the development requirements in the era of comprehensive digital transformation.
