Previously, on the morning of July 4, about 4,800 candidates entered the 6th grade exam at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
This year, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted recruited 15 classes, with 525 students. The number of candidates registering for the survey was 9 times higher than the school's quota, equivalent to a ratio of 1 to 9.
Candidates take the survey to enter grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
In 2023, the entrance exam to Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted will have 7 locations: Ten Lo Man High School, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, Tran Van On Secondary School, Vo Truong Toan Secondary School, Trung Vuong High School (all in District 1) and Ban Co Secondary School, Kien Thiet Secondary School (District 3).
Candidates take a 90-minute aptitude test consisting of multiple-choice and essay questions.
For the multiple-choice test, candidates will take a 20-question test in English about their understanding of natural sciences, social sciences and common sense in life within 30 minutes.
For the essay part, candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the test, including: English proficiency test (listening, reading, writing); candidates will complete the test in English.
Tests mathematical and logical thinking skills, reading comprehension and writing skills. Candidates take the test in Vietnamese.
The survey results are expected to be announced on July 11. The application period is from July 12 to July 14. After 4:00 p.m. on July 14, if students do not submit their application, the school will remove their name from the admission list.
Candidates who fail to pass the entrance exam to grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted will still be considered for admission to grade 6 according to the zoning.
