This is the first SoC in the Snapdragon 4 series based on the 4nm process. It uses the Kyro CPU which offers a maximum speed of up to 2.2 GHz and has 10% better performance than the previous generation.

The device offers Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 technology that can charge up to 50% of the battery in just 15 minutes.

The new Snapdragon chipset supports Full-HD+ displays, 120Hz refresh rates, electronic image stabilization, and faster autofocus. Delivering clearer, blur-free images, even with moving objects. For the first time in Qualcomm's 4-series, Multi Camera Temporal Filtering (MCTF) is integrated into the hardware, reducing noise for high-quality video.

Additionally, the product also brings AI enhancements such as AI-based low light to deliver sharp, detailed images in low-light environments. AI-enhanced ambient noise cancellation will ensure that users are heard clearly during calls and videos.

The manufacturer said that Xiaomi and Vivo have confirmed to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and the first commercial devices with this SoC are expected to be announced in the second half of 2023. Redmi Note 12R will be the first phone to feature this processor.
