Announcing 51 enterprises qualified to invest in production in Cam Le Industrial Cluster

On the afternoon of November 25, the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang city announced that the Council for selecting organizations to invest in production and business in Cam Le Industrial Cluster (Council) had selected and announced the results of selecting enterprises and production and business establishments in Cam Le Industrial Cluster (Cam Le district, Da Nang city).

Infrastructure of Cam Le Industrial Cluster (Da Nang) has been basically completed.

Accordingly, the Council received 99 dossiers of enterprises and production facilities in Da Nang City registering to operate in Cam Le Industrial Cluster; and implemented the task of evaluating and scoring dossiers of enterprises and production facilities based on the selection criteria set according to Decision 56/QD-SCT dated May 16, 2024 of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City.

As a result, 51/99 enterprises and production facilities are qualified to invest in production in Cam Le Industrial Cluster.

Enterprises eligible to enter Cam Le Industrial Cluster for production must meet environmental criteria and score 60 points or more in 7 selection criteria including: Current production location (whether it is located in the industrial cluster or not); business subjects (priority is given to enterprises subject to clearance and compensation for implementation of key projects; enterprises in residential areas at risk of causing environmental pollution; start-up enterprises, etc.); industries and production products (priority is given to OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, etc.); perform obligations according to the provisions of law (including business, financial, tax, fire prevention and fighting obligations, etc.); project progress; financial capacity; labor use policy.

Previously, in May 2024, the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City signed a Decision to promulgate a set of selection criteria to select organizations to invest in production and business in Cam Le Industrial Cluster.

In June 2024, to select enterprises to invest in production in Cam Le Industrial Cluster, the People's Committee of Da Nang City established a Council to select organizations to invest in production and business in Cam Le Industrial Cluster.

At the meeting of the People's Council of Da Nang City at the end of July 2024, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Chi Cuong said that the city will try to temporarily hand over land in 2024 so that businesses have time to complete investment procedures to build factories, so that when the infrastructure is officially handed over, businesses can immediately build and operate.

Currently, in Da Nang City, there are more than 900 enterprises and production facilities that need to relocate to industrial parks and clusters with a total land use demand of nearly 200 hectares. However, up to now, many industrial parks have reached 100% occupancy rate; the implementation of investment in many new industrial parks and clusters is slow due to many procedures and regulations.

Cam Le Industrial Cluster has a total planned land use area of ​​more than 29 hectares, expected to solve part of the "hot" demand for premises of businesses and production facilities in the city.
