Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Nguyen Hong said: The mountainous districts in the West of Thanh Hoa province have extremely rich and diverse natural tourism resources, beautiful natural landscapes with clear streams, majestic waterfalls hidden among nature reserves, very suitable for forming short-term, easy-to-go routes to long-term, challenging routes.
In addition, the mountainous region of Thanh Hoa is home to many ethnic minorities with unique cultural features. From that great potential, along with the success of the Pu Luong Marathon races and the effect of community tourism in the West in recent times, these are ideal conditions for Thanh Hoa province to develop the type of forest walking tourism - trekking tours.
"The development of trekking tours is the province's effort to develop tourism in line with the slogan "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance". Thereby, it regularly brings visitors new experiences, promotes the diversification of tourism products of the province and the trend of tourism development in the new situation", the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized.
At the ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced 12 trekking routes in the districts of Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa and Thuong Xuan.
There are 4 routes in Ba Thuoc district, including: Pu Luong peak trekking route (1,700m); Hon Con Soi adventure trekking route; Pu Luong peak - Hon Con Soi trekking route; Pu Luong heritage trekking route (Ba Thuoc - Quan Hoa inter-district route).
Quan Hoa district includes 3 routes: Pu Hu peak trekking route (1,440m); Green Acacia heritage tree trekking route; Pu Hu peak trekking route - Green Acacia heritage tree.
Thuong Xuan District includes 5 routes: Pu Gio peak trekking route (1,600m); Trekking route to visit heritage trees of po mu and sa mu; Trekking route to see gray langurs and white-cheeked gibbons; Trekking route to see gray langurs, white-cheeked gibbons and visit heritage trees of po mu and sa mu; Trekking route to Pu Xeo peak - 7-storey waterfall - Lung Nhai Oath historical site.
In addition to the above tourist routes, trekking tours are also designed based on the needs and interests of tourists.

Along with that, strengthen promotion, promotion, and connection of tours and tourist routes, bringing tourists to mountainous districts; support training of necessary skills for tour guides, especially situation handling skills, first aid skills, survival skills... for tour guides of adventure tours and forest walking tours.
Quan Hoa, Thuong Xuan, Ba Thuoc districts, management boards of nature reserves and tourist areas and spots in mountainous districts need to actively support travel businesses in organizing and exploiting trekking tourism routes. In particular, it is necessary to focus on doing a good job of managing, monitoring and protecting forest resources and forest fire prevention and fighting. Urgently review and supplement signs guiding rules and regulations in the forest, especially on trekking routes; convey the message to tourists: "Take nothing back but photos, leave nothing but footprints".
