On the afternoon of February 21, the Director of Nghe An Provincial Police worked with Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station and related units to prepare to receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Director of the Provincial Police presided over the meeting.
The process of formation, construction and growth of Nghe An Public Security is always closely associated with the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation, the People's Public Security force and the Party Committee and government of Nghe An province.
Formed from revolutionary movements, the organizations "Red Self-Defense", "Red Red Guard", "Worker-Peasant Self-Defense", "Viet Minh Reconnaissance", the predecessors of Nghe An Public Security were brave, resourceful, and stood shoulder to shoulder with other revolutionary forces of the masses to support demonstrations, protect meetings, protect villages, protect Party cadres, prevent the activities of secret agents and tyrants, destroy reactionary henchmen, smash the tools of repression of French colonialists and Japanese fascists, and move towards taking power into the hands of the people.
As soon as the provincial revolutionary government was established in Vinh town, on August 21, 1945, Nghe An Police was officially established with the name "Nghe An Reconnaissance Department".
Looking back on the 79-year journey of building, fighting and growing, Nghe An Public Security force has always been loyal to the Party, State and People, ready to accept all sacrifices and hardships, has been intelligent and brave in overcoming countless difficulties and challenges; fought to defeat all plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces and all types of criminals, excellently completed all assigned tasks, established many glorious achievements and feats, contributing to embellishing the heroic history of the People's Public Security force.
On February 7, 2024, President Vo Van Thuong signed Decision No. 158/QD-CTN to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on two units, including the Nghe An Provincial Police, for their outstanding achievements in protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety, and contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. This is a noble title, recognizing the contributions and sacrifices of the Nghe An Provincial Police force over the past nearly 8 decades.
With the consent of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Nghe An Provincial Public Security will hold a ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on March 11, 2024. This is an important political event for the Provincial Public Security in particular and Nghe An province in general.
At the meeting, leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police, Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station and related units discussed contents related to propaganda work before, during and after the event; art programs at the event.
Leaders of Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio and Television Station congratulated the Provincial Police and affirmed that they will closely coordinate with the Provincial Police to deploy truly profound propaganda content, bearing the mark of the People's Police in the beloved homeland of Uncle Ho!
Concluding the meeting, Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Party Secretary, Director of Nghe An Police thanked Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio - Television Station and related units for their congratulations and support to the Provincial Police.
Because there is not much time left until the event, the Provincial Police Director hopes that the units will continue to accompany and coordinate closely to effectively carry out propaganda work and solemnly and thoughtfully organize the event.
The Provincial Police Department has established a Steering Committee and related subcommittees. Colonel Bui Quang Thanh assigned the units under the Provincial Police Department to assign focal points to coordinate with Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio and Television Station to effectively carry out propaganda work.
Colonel Bui Quang Thanh also exchanged, oriented, discussed, and agreed on specific work contents to coordinate the implementation of the art program at the Ceremony to receive the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces".
