A group of young people in Tien Giang brought fireworks to Highway 1, lit them, and danced, affecting traffic safety and causing public disorder.
On January 11, Cai Lay Town Police (Tien Giang) worked with a group of teenagers involved in the incident of setting off fireworks on National Highway 1, then dancing, affecting traffic safety and order, causing public disorder.
According to the police, on the afternoon of January 9, a 35-year-old man held a birthday party at a rented house in Nhi My Ward, Cai Lay Town. He rented a tent, set up a stage, and used a high-power orchestra to sing. About 200 teenagers attended the party, some of whom had criminal records.
At around 10pm the same day, D. (36 years old, a friend of the party host) took 3 boxes of fireworks and set them off on the median strip of National Highway 1 to "enjoy the party".
When the fireworks exploded, about 20 people ran out to dance, film, and take pictures, affecting traffic safety and causing public disorder.
Upon receiving the news, the police arrived and dispersed the crowd. Through initial verification, D. confessed that he had taken the fireworks given to him by a friend in Cambodia to burn. He said that “he did it on his own initiative.”
Cai Lay town police affirmed that the behavior of the above group of subjects is contemptuous of the law and needs to be strictly handled for general deterrence and prevention.
