On June 26, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Lam Dong Provincial Police said that it had coordinated with the Department of Cyber Security, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention - Ministry of Public Security, Market Management Team No. 11 - Hanoi Market Management Department to destroy 2 large-scale cheating device trading rings nationwide right before the high school graduation exam, seizing many exhibits.

Previously, through the work of ensuring network security and implementing the work of ensuring security and order for the 2023 high school graduation exam, Lam Dong Provincial Police discovered 2 groups of subjects using cyberspace to advertise and sell devices supporting exam cheating via Zalo, Facebook, or connecting to mobile phone numbers to offer to buy and sell super small wifi cameras, super small headphones, and positioning devices supporting exam cheating for cases living in Lam Dong province.
On the morning of June 26, the police agency summoned and invited LKP (born in 2000, residing in Ward 10, Da Lat City) and CTTL (born in 2000, residing in Ward 9, Da Lat City) to work with them for purchasing and renting exam cheating equipment via social networks.
Notably, through investigation, the two cases above said they rented cheating devices from a Fanpage called "Super small headphones for rent" managed by a group of people "N.D.G" in Hanoi.
By the afternoon of the same day, Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Cyber Security, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control - Ministry of Public Security and Market Management Team No. 11 - Hanoi Market Management Department to conduct an administrative inspection and discovered that N.D.G (born in 1990, temporarily residing in Kien Hung Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi) was buying and selling high-tech equipment to cheat on exams.
The evidence seized at the suspect's house included: 10 sets of super small headphones, 10 Nokia phones connected with wires with a small microphone attached, and 10 super small magnetic earpieces, about 2mm in size, along with hundreds of electronic components to assemble into recording and video recording devices for cheating in exams.
Previously, Lam Dong police also summoned HNH (born in 1992, residing in Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district) to clarify the act of creating and using a "fake" Facebook account named "NB" to post many articles advertising "selling and renting super small devices for cheating on exams" in forums and social network groups "classifieds" in Lam Dong.
Through the investigation, the subject said that during the online business process, he realized that many people wanted to buy super small devices to cheat on exams and that buying and selling these devices could generate quick profits, so he copied images and articles from Fanpages selling cheating devices in other places (mainly Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and used fake accounts to post advertisements.
If customers contact to buy, the subject will buy the device from the above Fanpage and resell it at a higher price to make a profit.
In which, HNH bought 1 set of equipment for trial use, however, before it could be sold to customers, it was discovered and confiscated by authorities.
From the above clues, the police expanded the investigation and dismantled a ring of buying and selling exam cheating devices.
The case is currently under investigation.
