The 2nd military and martial arts competition for direct combat forces in the People's Public Security (PPP) in 2023 is one of many activities organized by the Ministry of Public Security to celebrate the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's six teachings for the PPP (March 11, 1948 - March 11, 2023) and the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023).
The competition not only strengthens and improves the quality and effectiveness of command, military and martial arts work in the People's Public Security Forces in general and direct combat forces in particular, but also contributes to building a clean, strong, disciplined and elite People's Public Security Force.
The 2nd Military and Martial Arts Competition for direct combat forces in the People's Public Security Forces in 2023 was organized in a qualifying round with 4 competition groups (2 Southern groups and 2 Northern groups) and the final took place in Quang Nam province.
Recently, despite the hot weather, athletes still tried hard to practice.
The competition had 77 teams competing in the qualifying round and 32 teams competing in the final round (teams winning first, second, and third prizes in the qualifying round) with more than 4,000 officers and soldiers participating (more than 3,000 officers and soldiers participating in the qualifying round and more than 1,000 officers and soldiers participating in the final round).
As soon as the Ministry of Public Security had a plan, Ha Tinh Police established shooting and martial arts teams consisting of 49 officers and soldiers. The selected members were all officers from specialized training and combat units, with good talent and physical strength. During the training, the comrades promoted self-awareness, followed discipline on the training ground as well as all rules and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

In the past time, although training encountered many difficulties, especially the impact of the hot weather, the members of the Ha Tinh Police team promoted the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, high efforts in training, determined to achieve the best results in the competition.
Thanks to the serious training process, high determination in competition, and strict compliance with the rules of the training ground, in the qualifying round of the competition in group 2 held in Ha Long City (Quang Ninh), the Ha Tinh Police team surpassed many strong teams in the Northern region, won third place overall and deserved to be present at the final round held in Quang Nam, scheduled to take place in early June.

Promoting the results achieved in the qualifying round, the regular and direct guidance of the comrades in the Provincial Police Board of Directors and the dedicated guidance of the coaches, in recent days, despite the hot weather, the team members continued to practice day and night with the goal of winning high prizes in the final round of the military and martial arts competition in the People's Public Security in 2023.
Lieutenant Colonel Dao Phi Son - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police - team leader said: Despite the hot weather and difficult training conditions, all team members promoted solidarity, showed high determination, made efforts to practice and strictly followed the regulations on the training ground to achieve the best results.
The closer the competition day gets, the more enthusiastic the Ha Tinh Police team is in training.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Vu - Deputy Head of the Party and Political Affairs Department of the Provincial Police affirmed: The closer the final day of the competition is, the more the team members focus on practicing the competition contents. With careful preparation and the determination of the team members, although the other teams are very strong, we believe that the Ha Tinh Police team will achieve high results in the upcoming final round in Quang Nam province.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Vu, the spirit of training "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain" is not only to achieve good results in the competition but more importantly to improve physical fitness, skills in using equipped weapons proficiently, building discipline, in order to serve more effectively the work, combat, attack and suppress all types of crimes, contributing to protecting security and order in the area, for the peace and happiness of the people.
