Today (November 25), at the close of trading, DSE shares of DNSE Securities Joint Stock Company increased by VND200 to VND23,600/share. This is the share of the only enterprise that has successfully conducted an IPO (initial public offering) in Vietnam since the beginning of the year.
According to the Southeast Asia IPO report released by Deloitte, Vietnam has only one IPO deal, which belongs to DNSE Securities Joint Stock Company. This IPO raised 37 million USD (about 930 billion VND).
DNSE Securities Company to list shares on HOSE after IPO in early 2024
According to the prospectus of DNSE Securities, in January 2024, the company successfully offered 30 million shares to the public for the first time and completed the capital increase to VND 3,300 billion and became a public company. In the first quarter of 2024, the company entered the top 5 securities companies with the largest brokerage market share in the derivatives market. After the IPO, DNSE Securities Company officially listed and traded its shares on HOSE with the code DSE from July 1. The reference price on the first trading day was VND 30,000/share, but at the end of this session, the shares stood at VND 28,600. Thus, the current stock price of this company has decreased by nearly 18%.
DNSE Securities Company, formerly Dai Nam Securities Company, was established in 2007 with an initial charter capital of VND 38 billion. This company operated sluggishly and did not receive much attention. In 2020, Dai Nam Securities Company announced the completion of the transfer of more than 98% of capital from 6 major shareholders to 2 institutional investors including Encapital Financial Technology Joint Stock Company and Encapital Holdings. These two companies are related to businessman Nguyen Hoang Giang - currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of DNSE.
After DNSE conducted an IPO to increase its charter capital to VND3,300 billion, Encapital Fintech held 56.1%; foreign fund PYN Elite Fund (Finland) held 12% of capital and Encapital Holdings Joint Stock Company held 11%.
The third quarter 2024 financial report shows that the company achieved revenue of VND 193.7 billion, an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2023. Profit after tax in the quarter reached VND 44.3 billion, an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year. Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2024, DNSE securities achieved revenue of VND 573.4 billion, an increase of 15% and profit after tax of VND 148.6 billion, an increase of 14% compared to the same period last year.
