TASS news agency reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu made the statement at a press conference after talks that he described as "very productive" with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is visiting Israel.
Stressing that "there is no issue more important than the Iran issue", Mr Netanyahu said the US and Israel "stand side by side in countering the threat" from the Islamic Republic, and agreed that Tehran must not have nuclear weapons.
The Israeli government leader even declared that the country "can and will complete the mission" against Iran under the leadership of US President Donald Trump.
Regarding the issue of Syria, the Israeli Prime Minister warned: "If any other power believes that Israel will allow other hostile powers to use Syria as a base of operations against us, they are seriously mistaken," noting that every action will be taken to prevent any threat from appearing in the southwest of the neighboring country.
Regarding Palestine, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel and the United States are coordinating closely, affirming that under President Trump, these two allied countries have a common strategy for the Gaza Strip.
Mr. Rubio is on his first trip to the Middle East as US Secretary of State, with the first stop being Israel, followed by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The trip comes after President Trump made a controversial proposal for the US to take over the Gaza Strip and relocate more than 2 million Palestinians from the territory.
Despite opposition, President Trump has continued to push forward with his plan, even warning that he could cut off aid to long-time allies like Jordan and Egypt if they do not cooperate. This puts countries in the region in a difficult position.
