Promoting the great solidarity of the people of the capital

Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Do Dinh Hong said that the "Culture for Peace Festival" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being awarded the title "City for Peace" by UNESCO (July 16, 1999 - July 16, 2024) is a large-scale program organized for the first time in the form of a cultural and historical space - a live stage at the Ly Thai To King Monument Flower Garden and the Hoan Kiem walking street space (Hoan Kiem District) taking place on the morning of October 6, 2024. The total number of participants in the festival is 10,000 people, of which 9,400 delegates are citizens - both actors participating in the parade, performing, and audiences attending the program.

Hanoi City has asked for opinions and accepted and completed the script for organizing the festival; agreed on the content of the script and the decoration layout for organizing the festival; departments, branches, districts, towns have issued plans, proactively implemented assigned tasks; closely coordinated with the standing agency (Department of Culture & Sports) in implementing the tasks of practicing, reviewing, and rehearsing according to the set schedule...

Regarding the “Cultural Festival for Peace”, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong requested that the organization of the festival ensure a joyful and exciting atmosphere, arouse pride, and promote the great solidarity of the people of the capital. This is an opportunity to spread and promote the culture, history, and tourism of Hanoi to domestic and international tourists and friends; therefore, it is necessary to mobilize all forms of communication before and during the program for people in the whole city and the whole country to follow.

Carefully develop plans and scenarios

After listening to the opinions of departments, branches and units, concluding the meeting, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh suggested that the coordination of communication about the festival must ensure that the people of the capital, international tourists and people nationwide know, participate and observe the event; therefore, it is necessary to soon develop a communication scenario about the festival program.

For the organization of the rehearsal and official performance of the program, the City Police and Hoan Kiem District carefully developed plans and scenarios, and increased forces to control traffic, security, fire prevention and fighting, health, and environmental sanitation inside and outside the area, ensuring the successful organization of the program.

For the special art program "Hanoi - City of Peace - City of Flying Dragon" celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, taking place on the evening of October 10, 2024 at My Dinh National Stadium - this is a large-scale program, a highlight program, concluding the series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

The program combines a performance with a display of lighting technology using drones and high-altitude fireworks combined with low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnics. The program is expected to attract about 25,000 people; of which, representatives of all walks of life from districts, towns and cities are about 24,000 people.

The Department of Culture and Sports has assigned tasks to departments and units under the Department to implement the program; continue to complete the detailed script and stage layout of the art program. In the coming time, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize the implementation of tasks assigned to the standing agency; organize joint practice, preliminary review, and final rehearsal of the program to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulations; promote communication work on the organization of the program...

According to Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, the special art program is a large-scale event. Through the program, the city will gain experience in organizing large events, access international-level organizing technology, thereby sending a message about the city's event organizing capacity. Therefore, the program preparation must be thorough.

“In addition, we need to step up propaganda and communication about the special art program event, especially among young people. Given the special nature of the program, communication work needs to spread to people across the country, focusing on centrally-run cities,” emphasized Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong.

Regarding this content, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested relevant agencies to promptly complete the development of a detailed program script to seek approval from competent authorities; create maximum conditions for general rehearsal and program training. In addition, absolutely ensure security and safety for fireworks display and lighting technology display using unmanned devices.
