Opportunities for cooperation and sustainable tourism development

DNO - On the afternoon of October 17, the Da Nang Tourism Association held the 4th Congress of Delegates of the Da Nang Tourism Association for the 2024-2029 term. This activity is within the framework of the event "Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024" with the theme "Smart Connection - Inspiring Innovation" taking place over 2 days, October 17 and 18. Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the association in the past term. In the difficult context due to the pandemic, the members of the association, service and tourism businesses have tried and made continuous efforts to achieve the current results.

This is also a highlight of the city's tourism, showing that Da Nang has the appeal, attraction, and ability to meet the increasing demands of customer segments; can organize large events worthy of the brand "Asia's leading event destination", continuing to affirm the position of Da Nang tourism, gradually becoming an international tourism center.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong hopes that the association will develop even more strongly in the next term and the following years, and hopes that the association will absorb comments and suggestions, continue to develop Da Nang as a destination worth visiting for tourists; build Da Nang as a destination with a spirit of solidarity, with close ties between businesses and the tourism development ecosystem in general.

In addition, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong suggested that the association's executive board continue to promote the close connection between state management agencies and the association, share, research and propose solutions to develop tourism better in the coming time; soon research and propose ways to connect and cooperate with localities to promote tourism development; research the application of digital technology and new policies to propose solutions to enhance the value of tourism services, create a chain of high-end service products, contributing to the overall development of the industry.

The congress elected a new Executive Committee of 30 members, with the participation of representatives of major corporations operating in the tourism, hotel and entertainment sectors in Da Nang. In the orientation of the new term, the association focuses on contents such as strategic cooperation, sustainable development, application of innovative technology and artificial intelligence in management, aiming to increase revenue and visitor sources, towards the common goal of developing Da Nang into a national symbol of innovation, a must-visit tourist city.

According to the representative of Da Nang Tourism Association, “Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024” is one of the efforts to build Da Nang into a center for information, exchange and sharing of updated knowledge and trends in the tourism and service industry, creating opportunities for domestic and international buyers to meet and connect. Thereby, contributing to building Da Nang into an increasingly friendly destination for tourists and an ideal city for investment and exploitation by domestic and foreign service and tourism businesses.
