ANH - A female tourist recently attracted the attention of the online community after sharing a video recording her bringing back home 28kg of snacks after a trip to Malaysia.
The video, uploaded by British tourist Leila Purchase to social media since late February, has attracted hundreds of thousands of views and countless interesting comments, especially from Malaysian users.
In the video, Purchase shows a bag full of popular Malaysian snacks and says, "I've been putting off filming this for so long. But if I don't film it now, I won't be able to film it anymore because the snacks will run out sooner or later."
According to Purchase, she was particularly impressed with the rich " world " of snacks in the Southeast Asian country, from candies, cookies to instant noodles.
Because she loves Malaysian cuisine so much, Purchase affirmed that she will return here as soon as possible. The British female tourist's travel bag full of snacks quickly attracted the attention of Malaysian netizens.
"Looks like you want to go back to England and open a Malaysian convenience store," one user jokingly commented. Another joked that the female tourist would become a "real Malaysian" if she ate all the snacks.
Some people suggest that Purchase buy other famous Malaysian "snacks" such as belacan (shrimp paste), cencalok (fermented shrimp), tempoyak (fermented durian), petai, budu (anchovy sauce), sambal or Musang King durian,...
