Hanoi Police Club, Viettel and Hanoi must take drastic measures

On the afternoon of October 30 - one day after the incident of a lighting pole breaking down at Hang Day Stadium during the match between Hanoi Club and Hai Phong Club in round 2 of Night Wolf V-League 2023 - 2024, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), the tournament's organizing committee, sent a document to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, and 3 clubs that chose Hang Day Stadium as their home stadium (Hanoi Police Club, Hanoi Club, Viettel Club) requesting support in fixing the lighting system problem.

As Thanh Nien reported, during the preparation for the second half of the match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC (taking place on the evening of October 29), the lighting system of Hang Day Stadium had a problem, a lamp post on the side of stand B next to stand C of Hang Day Stadium had a complete power outage and could not be repaired.

As soon as the incident occurred, the Organizing Committee (OC) of the Hanoi Club match and the tournament's Organizing Committee mobilized technical forces to inspect the scene. The cause was determined to be the damaged starter structure of the lighting system, affecting the joints and lamp legs, so it could not be fixed immediately. After the tournament's Organizing Committee, the match's Organizing Committee consulted with representatives of the two clubs, coaches and captains of the two teams, the second half of the match was delayed by 30 minutes and had to take place under the condition that only three lighting poles were operating.

The tournament organizers promptly handled the incident when it occurred.

In Official Dispatch No. 382/VPF-TCTĐ sent to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, VPF Company requested that interested units support, create favorable conditions, and closely coordinate with 3 clubs: Hanoi Police, Hanoi and Viettel (currently registering to use Hang Day Stadium to organize home matches in the 2023-2024 season), promptly conduct inspections, repairs, and fixes to ensure the quality of the lighting system at Hang Day Stadium according to regulations.

At the same time, the tournament's Organizing Committee also sent document 383/BTC-TCTĐ to each of the above teams, requesting the Organizing Committee of the match, the clubs: Hanoi Police, Hanoi and Viettel to quickly take the initiative, closely coordinate with the stadium management unit, conduct inspections, repairs, promptly fix, ensure the quality of the lighting system at Hang Day Stadium according to regulations. In order to promptly ensure the quality and operating status of the lighting system in particular and ensure good related conditions to serve the organization of the next matches at Hang Day Stadium.

On November 3, Hanoi Police Club will host Hanoi team at Hang Day Stadium in round 3 of V-League 2023 - 2024.
