This morning, January 1, 2024, at Cua Lo port, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to receive the first shipment of the new year and launch production in 2024. The first ship to arrive at Cua Lo port has a capacity of 6,200 tons, specializing in transporting containers, named TAN CANG FOUNDATION.

In 2023, although the production and business situation, especially import and export activities, is still difficult, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company also unloaded 836 ships, with the port throughput reaching 4.8 million tons, exceeding the same period by 13%.

Based on the results achieved in 2023, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company determined that in 2024 it will focus on market activities, introducing measures to attract customers such as improving service quality, sharing difficulties with customers; combining with container shipping lines to provide additional value-added services to attract more transit goods from Laos, Northeast Thailand and Western Nghe An through the port.
In 2024, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company plans to reach 4.3 million tons of cargo through the port.

Up to now, Cua Lo port has been able to receive 15,000-ton fully loaded and 25,000-ton partially loaded ships. Notably, in May 2023, the port welcomed an international container ship with a tonnage of nearly 12,800 tons, loading and unloading 150 containers to Hong Kong - China..., helping Cua Lo port become a link in the container transport route directly connecting Central Vietnam with seaports around the world.
The first cargo code was unloaded on the first day of 2024, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among officers and employees, starting a year of continued successful production and business for Cua Lo port as well as Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company.
