Experts, doctors share how to manage diabetes

This is the 7th scientific conference on endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic disorders, with the theme "Comprehensive approach in the management of diabetes and metabolic disorders".

The organizers said that diabetes and metabolic disorders are non-communicable diseases that are increasingly taking up a high proportion in the disease model, and changes in the approach to the disease are also changing according to new trends in the world. Therefore, the conference was organized to address the above issues.

More than 400 doctors and medical staff in the Central region attended a conference on diabetes in Hue City.

The conference has nearly 100 reports from leading experts in the fields of endocrinology, diabetes, cardiology, nephrology, etc. working in major hospitals in Vietnam.

With the theme of comprehensive approach in managing diabetes and metabolic disorders, the conference focused on applying advanced insulin combination formulas in the treatment as well as early management of kidney and foot complications... in diabetic patients; mentioned chronic kidney disease and heart failure in diabetic patients.

On this occasion, the Thua Thien-Hue Endocrinology - Diabetes Association also held its 3rd term congress. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang was re-elected as president of the association.
