The program took place over two days from November 24-25 at Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU), Da Nang City.
Da Nang is known as the place where the Vietnamese Government focuses on developing to become the leading region in the country in the field of information and communications technology (ICT).
Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology is a university specializing in information technology training established in 2007 with the support of the Korean government and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
Programme
The program is organized to support the promotion of Korean companies into the Vietnamese market, while enhancing exchanges in the fields of information and communication technology and creative game content between Vietnam and Korea.
The program took place with diverse activities such as: Competition to find talent in game design and programming (game planning and programming field & game graphic design field); Lecture on the Korean game industry with the participation of famous speakers such as Head of the Korean Game Culture Foundation Office Cho Soo Hyun, CEO of NCSOFT Jang Hyun Young, Secretary General of the Korean e-Sports Association Kim Cheolhag; Cosplay performance of Korean game characters; Operating booths to promote Korean and Vietnamese game businesses; Solving quizzes about Korean games and culture...
In addition, programs related to the field of E-sports will also be held to promote Korean e-sports culture to Vietnam, especially when Korea recently won the Gold Medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games, and also became the world champion of the League of Legends (LoL) tournament.
Programs related to the field of E-sport include: Talkshow with guest Ngan Sat Thu and ABCT36 Gaming - Vietnamese KOLs playing Korean games; Qualifying and final rounds of the E-sport competition for students (Korean game PUBG mobile)... promising to bring a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for visitors and game fans.
Vietnam is a country with a potential gaming market with a population of about 100 million people, including about 40 million gamers (according to the White Paper on Vietnam's gaming industry in 2022 by the Korea Creative Content Agency).
Within the framework of the program, the aim is to provide information to support the promotion of the Vietnamese market for Korean companies and to strengthen connections between people in charge of the gaming industry between the two countries.
