On May 23, 2023, under the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the SBV Communications Department coordinated with the Banking Academy to organize a series of financial education communication events "Future Bankers in 2023". The series of events was organized to contribute to realizing the Government's goals in the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, Government Projects and contributing to promoting non-cash payments.

The current economic and geopolitical context in the world has many complex and unpredictable developments, especially the consecutive collapse of a number of banks in the world continues to cause fluctuations in the financial and monetary markets. In that context, enhancing public confidence in the banking system is more urgent than ever. Financial education communication for the people is currently receiving special attention from central banks around the world.
In Vietnam, the Prime Minister has approved the National Financial Inclusion Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030. In the financial inclusion strategy, financial education communication is an important pillar. The series of financial education communication events "Future Bankers in 2023" contributes to equipping financial awareness, financial management skills as well as knowledge to avoid risks when using financial products, which is important and necessary.
The event series “Future Banker 2023” aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in finance and banking such as how to access and use banking products and services, cashless payments, loans, savings, etc. In particular, through this event series, young people are also provided with knowledge about types of bond products, insurance, savings, investment financial products and the differences between these types. In addition, the event series “Future Banker 2023” also contributes to spreading good values to young people, which are compassion, sharing, striving to improve in life and promoting reading culture.
“Future Banker 2023” includes a series of events that fully converge attractive, new, creative and appealing elements for young people. Not only providing knowledge and skills on banking finance , investment, startups… through the contest “Future Banker 2023” or the talk show “GenZ startups in the digital age”, the series of events also brings young people the experience of using modern banking utilities and products and services at the exhibition program “GenZ Bank”.

In addition, the series of events also strongly spread to young people about efforts and willpower to live through the conversation with teacher Hung Tin Hon (Center for Willpower to Live). Kindness and sharing were also conveyed to young people through the awarding of scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties, supporting the social security program "Loving Sunday" of the National Assembly's Social Committee and the free Student Supermarket area. In particular, also at this series of events, the reading culture was strongly spread among young people with the presence of book stalls with preferential prices. Notably, the participation of famous singers and artists such as singer Mono Viet Hoang, Suni Ha Linh, MC Thanh Trung, artist Thanh Huong, Anh Duc... also contributed to making the series of events eagerly awaited by young people.
Final round of the competition "Future Banker 2023"
After the preliminary rounds (May 10, 2023), orientation day (May 14, 2023) and semi-final round (May 17, 2023), on May 23, 2023, the final program of the "Future Banker 2023" competition officially took place. The "Future Banker 2023" competition attracted nearly 200 teams from universities and colleges in the Northern region, showing the widespread influence of the competition among young people. The 4 best teams passed the intense rounds to participate in the final program. This is a knowledge playground to help young people accumulate knowledge about banking and finance as well as confidence and boldness to conquer challenges. In particular, the contest uses creative, attractive and suitable theatrical forms for young people, combined with folk games, folk songs, proverbs, famous quotes... to convey information about banking and finance in a lively, familiar, easy-to-understand and widely spread way. Folk games are not only games for young people but also contain unique Vietnamese national culture, helping to lift the souls of young people, develop creativity, dexterity and have profound humanistic meaning. The contest adapted from the folk game of capturing the flag will contribute to making the final contest more lively and attractive. The treasure trove of Vietnamese folk songs, proverbs and famous quotes from around the world are also creatively integrated into the contests, bringing humanity and profound spread.

On the morning of May 23, 2023, at the Talkshow program "GenZ startups in the digital age" , thousands of students had the opportunity to interact and chat with speakers on the Forbes Under 30 list, banking and finance experts, and securities experts, namely: Ms. Mai Lan Van - Marketing Director of One Mount Consumer - Forbes Vietnam Under 30; Mr. Ngo Xuan Huy - Founder of Money Lover - Forbes Vietnam Under 30; Mr. Le Son Tung - General Director of Agribank Securities Joint Stock Company; Mr. Dmitry Kashtanov - Director of Digital Banking - An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank. The talkshow program inspired young people about financial management, experience in using financial leverage when starting a business, doing business, experience in investing in stocks..., helping young people to be more strong, bold, and dare to realize their dreams. Also at the talk show, tiny teacher Nguyen Van Hung - Center for Life Force also participated, shared, and inspired young people about the efforts and willpower to overcome difficulties and develop themselves... Nurturing faith and transmitting energy to young people, tiny teacher Hung bravely faced fate, with the will and determination of this tiny teacher, he will transmit positive energy to young people, nurturing faith, discovering potential and perfecting themselves.
Exhibition program of booth "GenZ Bank"
Also on the morning of May 23, 2023, the exhibition program of the "GenZ Bank" booth with nearly 30 booths from commercial banks, financial companies, securities companies, payment intermediaries... brought many unique and special experiences to visitors, introducing and displaying products and services, increasing practical experiences, and instructing customers on how to use banking and financial products.
By attending the program, students will have the opportunity to receive preferential and free shopping cards at the Student Supermarket counter with thousands of essential items. In addition, when experiencing the journey to explore the booths and participating in interesting mini-game programs, students will also continue to have the opportunity to receive more of these valuable shopping cards.
At the book supermarket area, young people will have the opportunity to buy books on economics, banking, psychology, educational science, etc. at preferential prices, contributing to spreading reading culture and knowledge to young people.
Charitable and philanthropic activities
Notably, this year's series of events also includes many activities to spread the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other" such as: giving scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties at the Banking Academy, contributing to supporting students in difficult circumstances with better conditions in the process of studying and training to improve their lives; Supporting the charity program "Loving Sunday" - a monthly activity implemented by the Social Committee of the National Assembly in coordination with the State Bank of Vietnam and Hanoi Heart Hospital. This is a noble gesture, of great significance to the social community, a humane action, demonstrating the concern of the community and society for especially difficult circumstances.
