The year 2024 marks an important milestone in the history of Vietnam-Russian Federation relations as the two countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the basic principles of friendly relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Russian Federation, and move towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2025. After more than 70 years of being jointly cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, the Vietnam-Russian Federation friendship and cooperation has become a valuable common asset of the two peoples.
