Standardizing vehicle information helps transparency in management

Implementing the plan to review, update, and supplement vehicle registration and management data of the Ministry of Public Security, in recent days, the police force in the province has taken drastic measures to soon complete the database on road motor vehicles to ensure the goal of "correct, sufficient, alive, clean" to contribute to improving the effectiveness of state management of vehicles.

Coc Leu Ward (Lao Cai City) is a densely populated area with more than 6,000 permanent households. In recent days, ward police officers have coordinated with residential groups and residential areas to actively review information on means of transport. To ensure accurate and strict work, assigned officers have gone to the management area to participate in collecting information.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Minh Tuan, Chief of Coc Leu Ward Police, said that immediately after recording information about the vehicles, ward police officers also updated and identified the vehicles on the national data system.

With more than 100,000 motorbikes in Lao Cai city, information will need to be updated. The Traffic Police - Order Team, City Police has mobilized maximum human resources to join the communes and wards to collect information and update the system. The most difficult thing for the team is that the force is still small, so it must be evenly distributed for regular tasks, however, the officers always uphold the spirit of readiness to complete the assigned tasks.

Captain Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, an officer of the Traffic Police - Order Team, Lao Cai City Police, said that the force has divided into shifts and teams to carry out the task in order to meet the schedule set by the Ministry of Public Security.

To implement the review, update, and supplement of vehicle registration and management data, Lao Cai Provincial Police has issued Plan 2218/KH-CAT-PC08 to deploy to communes, wards, towns, districts, towns, and cities. The goal is to build a database on road motor vehicles to ensure "correctness, completeness, liveness, and cleanliness", contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management of road motor vehicles.
