Ba Vang Pagoda has just sent a report to the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Religious Committee of Quang Ninh province, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh province, and the People's Committee of Uong Bi city about the worship of Buddha's hair relics at this pagoda.
Buddha's hair relics are on display at Ba Vang Pagoda from December 23 to December 27 (Photo: Ba Vang Pagoda).
During and after the above event, there was conflicting information that the Buddha's hair relics brought by Myanmar monks to Ba Vang Pagoda were fake relics, made from Pili grass and sold publicly on social networks.
In response to the above information, Ba Vang Pagoda affirms that the Buddha's relics are a noble and sacred religious symbol of Buddhism. The veneration of the Buddha's relics is a ritual and religious belief of Buddhism. In a state governed by law, such symbols, rituals and religious beliefs must be respected, guaranteed and protected.
