At the meeting, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee - Trinh Xuan Truong thanked the Governor for his warm welcome and for taking the time to work with the Lao Cai Provincial Delegation. "We are very happy to come to Shizuoka, to see the famous Mount Fuji and especially to be welcomed by the Governor", Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong affirmed.
The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee informed the Governor of Shizuoka Province - Heita Kawakatsu about the results of the Investment and Tourism Promotion Conference in Japan, as well as the results of working with Japanese economic organizations and corporations, such as Jetro and Erex.
The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee said that Lao Cai and Shizuoka provinces have great potential for tourism. If Lao Cai has Fansipan peak, Shizuoka has Fuji peak, both of which are very famous. In addition, Lao Cai has many unique festivals rich in the cultural identity of ethnic groups. Therefore, the two provinces need to increase exchanges and promotion to tourists to connect and effectively exploit tourism potential.
Lao Cai has a young, abundant labor force that can work in fields such as agriculture, nursing, manufacturing, and processing. Lao Cai also has great potential in minerals, with many types of minerals with large reserves, such as apatite, copper, iron, etc. Therefore, Lao Cai province hopes that industries and businesses of Shizuoka province will learn about and invest in Lao Cai.

Governor Heita Kawakatsu affirmed that he will send officials from various sectors to exchange with Lao Cai to get more information on research, investment cooperation, and tourism development. Shizuoka province always welcomes young people from Lao Cai to work here.
Governor Heita Kawakatsu said that every three years, Shizuoka Prefecture organizes a world tea festival, including Vietnamese tea displayed at the festival. 2026 is the next year that Shizuoka Prefecture organizes a world tea festival, hoping that Lao Cai tea will be present at this festival.
