Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested heads of departments, branches, and sectors; Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to strictly implement the following contents: Continue to well implement the work of organizing citizen reception, in which special attention is paid to the regular citizen reception regime of heads of departments, branches, sectors, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities (ensuring the number of regular citizen reception days at least per month) in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Citizen Reception and on time according to the citizen reception schedule issued by the unit and locality.

Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall direct chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to arrange commune-level civil servants to perform the tasks of receiving citizens, handling petitions, resolving complaints and denunciations, ensuring standards and tasks in accordance with Decree No. 33 dated June 10, 2023 of the Government regulating commune-level cadres, civil servants and non-professional workers at the commune level, in villages and residential groups.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to focus on seriously, comprehensively and synchronously implementing solutions to improve the effectiveness of citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement; promptly and in accordance with legal regulations on citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement.

Regularly organize inspections, reviews, and complete settlement of pending, crowded, complicated, and prolonged cases. Inspect, review, compile statistics, and report to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Provincial Inspectorate) on pending, crowded, complicated, and prolonged complaints and denunciations; the reporting deadline is before September 30, 2024.
