Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee will dialogue with young people

Accordingly, the Chairman of the City People's Committee will directly dialogue with young people on the afternoon of October 14, 2024, at the Hanoi Children's Palace (new), Nam Tu Liem district.

With the theme: "Youth participate in building a green, cultured, civilized, and modern capital", there will be about 450 delegates attending the program, including 400 official delegates attending the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi, term 2024-2029.

The dialogue conference aims to grasp the situation, listen to the recommendations and proposals of young people; promptly direct the resolution and removal of existing problems, limitations, difficulties and obstacles related to the rights and legitimate interests of young people in the process of building and implementing policies and laws of the State and Hanoi City for young people in the current period.

Through the dialogue program, we aim to widely disseminate to young people the policies of the Party, the laws of the State, and Hanoi City on youth support and development.

The dialogue focused on 3 groups of issues. In particular, the group of issues on "Green Hanoi" includes: Opinions, proposals, and solutions to promote the role and responsibility of members and young people in protecting the environment and responding to climate change, building a bright - green - clean - beautiful capital; promoting and raising awareness among young people about the benefits and responsibilities of environmental protection, the harmful effects of climate change on the socio-economy , aiming to change behavior in environmental resource protection activities.

The group of issues "Cultural Hanoi" includes: Opinions, proposals, and solutions to promote the role and responsibility of members and youth in preserving, conserving, and promoting the traditional cultural and historical values ​​of the capital; improving the cultural and spiritual life of youth and children, thereby contributing to widely disseminating among youth union members about the fine cultural traditions of the capital Hanoi and conveying and introducing the image of Hanoi to international friends.

The group of issues "Civilized and modern Hanoi" includes: suggestions from members and young people in the fields of building digital citizens, digital government, digital society; building a culture of behavior, building elegant and civilized Hanoians; newly arising issues requiring a spirit of volunteerism, demonstrating the innovation and dynamism of the Association and Hanoi youth to suit the process of digital transformation and international integration.
