Hanoi Chairman: Capital Law will pave the way for cultural sector

On August 16, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired a dialogue conference to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses investing and operating in the cultural and social fields in 2024.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that this was the 4th conference that Hanoi had dialogued with businesses to share and support units in performing their tasks.

According to Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, in recent years, Hanoi's economy has developed steadily in many fields, and social culture has improved a lot, the result is the efforts of many sectors, including the contribution of non-state enterprises and workers working in this field.

"The city always respects and appreciates the role, contributions, efforts and love for the industry and profession of the team of entrepreneurs and enterprises. From there, it is determined that the city's responsibility towards enterprises is increasingly greater, although the city has made many efforts in strengthening discipline, changing the way of thinking and working, and innovating and modernizing administrative procedures," said the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

According to Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee always pay attention to the cultural and social fields through specific actions and deeds. Recently, the Capital Law 2024 was passed, which includes many regulations that will "pave the way" for viewpoints in specific fields, including the cultural and social fields. The city has high expectations for more fundamental changes in the cultural and social fields.

At the same time, the city also recommended to the Government specific issues such as having a PPP (public-private partnership) mechanism to solve issues related to investment in culture, education, health, sports, and tourism for business development.

To remove difficulties, obstacles and bottlenecks in practice in investment and activities in the cultural and social fields, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that in the coming time, the City People's Committee will pay attention to mechanisms, policies, decentralization, authorization, administrative reform, creating the most favorable conditions for businesses investing and operating in the cultural and social fields to develop quickly and sustainably.

At the same time, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned relevant departments and branches to classify difficulties and problems of enterprises, in which issues within their authority should be resolved promptly, as well as promptly recommend to the Central Government issues beyond their authority to create favorable conditions for enterprises.
